ICD-10-CM Official Coding Guidelines for COVID-19 April 1, 2020 -September 30, 2020
The CDC just announced that the new specific ICD-10-CM code for COVID-19 (U07.1) will now be implemented on April 1 of 2020. Guidance on usage will follow
CMS Adds Codes for Coronavirus Lab Tests
CMS has developed a second Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code that can be used by laboratories to bill for certain COVID-19 diagnostic tests to help increase testing and track new cases. CMS continues to leverage every tool at their disposal in responding to COVID-19.
